Directions

These sliders are a perfect sweet and savory way to use up leftover turkey and are ready in under 30 minutes!

Yields: 12 sliders

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15-20 minutes

Ingredients

For the Sliders:

  • 1 (12-count) package of Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (or a mix of mayo and Dijon mustard)
  • 3 cups cooked turkey, shredded or diced
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (whole berry or jellied)
  • 6 slices of Swiss or Provolone cheese (or your favorite melty cheese)

For the Topping:

  • 1/2cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, for tang)
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional, for crunch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or dried minced onio

Instructions

  1. Prep the Rolls & Oven: Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9 X 13-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice the Rolls: Without separating the rolls, use a long serrated knife to slice the entire block of rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Spread the Base: Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the cut side of the bottom rolls.
  4. Layer the Fillings: Layer the turkey evenly over the mayonnaise. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey. Finally, arrange the slices of cheese over the cranberry sauce. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  5. Make the Topping: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), poppy seeds (if using), and garlic powder.
  6. Brush and Bake: Generously brush the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Bake: Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  8. Brown the Tops: Remove the foil and continue to bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve: Let the sliders cool for a few minutes. Cut along the seams to separate the individual sliders. Serve warm.

Tips & Variations

  • Cheese Swap: Feel free to use Havarti, Gouda, or Monterey Jack cheese instead of Swiss or Provolone.
  • Make-Ahead: Assemble the sliders up to 1 day ahead (without the butter topping), cover, and refrigerate. Brush with the topping just before baking.
  • Add Stuffing: For a true Thanksgiving-leftover vibe, add a thin layer of leftover stuffing under the turkey layer.
